What to Do

Fitness Suite

A range of cardiovascular equipment, such as treadmills, cross trainers and spin bikes are available for use within the fitness suite. Bi-fold doors open out onto the decking, maximising the views. In light of the present circumstances the gym has been made bookable in 90 minute slots.bookable on a blackboard outside the building. We would ask that guests please shower and change for the pool & gym in your accommodation and minimise the use of the pool changing rooms. As with the rest of the building, the suite benefits from zoned wireless music and is serviced, along with the pool, with changing rooms and an independent disabled or family changing area.

Farm Shop

Our small (but we think) perfectly formed farm shop openend in Aug 2023. Stocking a variety of foods and some pooltoys etc. We source our meat from Brymers family butchers in Brechin and typically have sirloin steaks, pork sausages, bacon, beef and spring onion burgers and chicken breasts either in the fridge or freezer. For anyone that wants something different Brymers will deliver to our shop - order online or by phone with them directly. We also have a range of nibbles, crisps, olives, cheese, pasta, soft drinks, fresh eggs and much more. There are also the essentials such as logs firelighters, batteries and mini Highland cows to match the ones outside!

Outdoor

Guests can make use of the extensive network of fenced footpaths, leading past the famous Aberlemno Pictish Stones and along the banks of the Lemno burn. Outdoor activities are catered for with the tennis court a children's play area complete with a 40m zip wire. The tennis court, in the walled garden, is accessed through the Doocot and there is plety grassed areas for ball games etc.

Walking

We are very lucky to be situeted in beautiful countryside sandwiched between the Angus Glens and the coastline. St Cyrus beach is about 20mins drive from Balbinny and offers a huge stretch of very quiet beach, also nearby Lunan Bay provides another lovely stretch of golden sand (a small cafe as well). Turn northwards to the Glens and there are 10 Munro's (mountains over 3000 feet) that can be explored. A little nearer to Balbinny there are walks along the south Esk or round Balgavies Loch home to a group of Ospreys.
